The Seafood Family
The Szabo family has been involved in the seafood industry for almost 50 years. Dan Szabo was pulling lobster traps out on Long Island Sound at the tender age of 8. He clamed and lobstered with his father and older brother Joe.
At the age of ten, he helped his brother open the Ridgefield Fish Market in 1972. The famous New England and Manhattan Clam Chowders hit the shelves of the Ridgefield Fish Market and became an instant success. While Traveling to the Fulton Market and choosing some of the finest fish to bring back to the market, Danny began to develop a gift for the industry.
In 1995 his wife Cathy joined him in the Fish Market and the two of them launched "Szabo's Seafood". "We saw an opportunity to provide a great service and also be a great value." The Catering company became known for their fantastic food, and excellent service. We have a long list of very satisfied customers and would like nothing more than to add you to that list. In 2008 we began the launch of the Szabo's Family Prepared foods. We continue to strive to be better and offer the best we can to our customers.
We are a small family run business that caters to making each party as special as the people we work with. We treat each party as if it were our own. We take pride in our products, our food and our service. Our goal is make you happy and have you tell your friends and family about us.
